MARIAN PECK
MAKE-UP LECTURER

Working as a practicing make-up professional, Marian Peck has, over the last 17 years, utilised and enhanced her skills to cover a broad spectrum of Make-Up Artistry.

She shares her creative passion with her students, instilling in them a commitment to perfection, in addition to the creation and expansion of new techniques. She teaches the practical and theoretical application of beauty make-up, runway, cinemagraphic, theatre, special effects, injury and advanced prosthetics make-up.

Marian has used her talents to undertake video projects for Channel 7 and Channel 9 television, as well a film production for channel 10. She has worked as Chief Make-up Artist for Metropolis Films on a film festival and as Chief Make-Up Artist on “Chicago” at the Regal Theatre.

Apart from her work in film, television, and theatre, Marian has a background in photographic work for magazines, runway and fashion shows, glamour, bridal and cosmetic camouflage are all different aspects of her broad skill set. She was head makeup artist for Miss Universe W.A 2007 and Miss World W.A.

Marian is justly proud that her expertise as a Cosmetic Camouflage Artist has facilitated the healing process of numerous individuals, damaged by physical trauma. Her theatre and film success to date is partially due to her tenacity in conducting research, to assist in the definition of character traits, prior to imposing them onto a subject.

These skills are particularly useful in the areas of Characterisation – the aging process, souls wracked and ravaged by disease and special effects within the science fiction genre. Her talents include injury and wound simulation for the training of paramedics and first aid students.

Her competency includes the ability to cast heads and make face masks, in addition to making bald caps and false face parts.

Marian’s portfolio is available upon request and provides photographic evidence of her profound ability and prolific involvement in this exclusive field of artistry. She is in every sense a “hands on” professional, whose love for her work is quite obvious.

Using her skills on any artistic project could only enhance the creativity of the end product.
